Pitzer College seeks to enroll students whose backgrounds and experiences offer varying perspectives on living and learning in a multicultural world. In order to accomplish this, we offer this program to encourage students to visit, apply, and enroll at Pitzer College.
How do I RSVP?
Please complete the online application. Additionally, you will need to email a copy of your high school transcript through junior year to email@example.com within 24 hours of submission. Your application must be submitted by Thursday, September 18, 2014.
Who is accepted?
Approximately 50 high school seniors will be invited to an expense-paid visit to Pitzer College.
How do I know if my application was received?
Once you apply online you will be redirected to a confirmation page notifying you that your application has been received. Within two business days you should receive an email from one of our Diversity Interns. If you do not receive an email, we did not receive your application and you should contact our office at (909) 621-8129.
When will I be notified if I have been selected for the Diversity Program?
The application deadline for the fall program is Monday, September 29, 2014. The Office of Admssion will not make any decisions until after this deadline. You should expect to have an answer by Friday, October 3, 2014.
What will students do?
As a participant in the Fall Diversity Program, you will attend the Pitzer Preview Day on Friday, October 24, 2014. Additionally, you will stay in the residence halls with a current student and learn about the admission selection process and how to apply for financial aid. You will also have the chance to meet with coaches, faculty, staff, student mentors, and, if you would like, have an interview with an admission officer or representative.
Will the program cover the other Claremont Colleges?
While there will be a scavenger hunt around the other Claremont Colleges, this program is geared towards students who are interested in Pitzer College. All students on the Diversity Program are required to attend all planned programming.
Does attending the Diversity Program increase my chances of being admitted to Pitzer?
Pitzer is holistic in its admission approach. A variety of factors are taken into account by the admission staff. Attending this program does not guarantee admission.
I cannot attend the program. Are there other opportunities to visit campus?
Unfortunately, we are not able to offer other expense-paid options outside of the Diversity Program. To discover other visit opportunities, like Admitted Student Day, please click here.
Who should I contact if I have more questions?
Please contact Mattie Ross or one of our Diversity Interns. They can be reached by calling toll-free at 1-800-PITZER1 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
We are excited about your interest in Pitzer College!
My RSVP has been confirmed and I have faxed in my Flight Obligation Form. Now what?
