Led by a student guide, tours lasts approximately one hour. You will see all aspects of our beautiful campus including a classroom, a residence hall, the dining hall, the Gold Student Center, the Keck Science Center, the Mounds, the Grove House and much, much more.
Campus tours are given Monday through Friday at 10 am, 1 pm and 3 pm year round, and on Saturdays from mid-September through mid-December at 10 am and 11 am. Please be sure to check the visit calendar for schedule changes that we may make before a holiday, holiday weekend or during exam weeks.
A 30-minute information session is available for all interested students and parents Monday through Friday at 9:30 am and 2:30 pm year round. The sessions provide an overview of the college followed by an informal Q&A period. Please be sure to check the visit calendar for schedule changes that we may make before a holiday or holiday weekend.
Individual interviews provide students with the opportunity to both tell us about themselves and learn more about Pitzer from an admission counselor or admission fellow (current Pitzer student). Interviews are available for seniors only from June (end of junior year) through mid-December at selected times throughout the day, Monday through Friday. Interviews on Saturday mornings are available by appointment in the fall through mid-December. Students in their senior year are encouraged to schedule their interview in the summer or fall for a more informative conversation.
Interviews are required of Early Decision 1 applicants (due December 1) and Early Decision 2 applicants (due January 10). Interviews are recommended, but not required, for Regular Decision candidates by December 15.
Transfer students and New Resources students can interview at any time, with some limited availability during certain times of the year. Please note that New Resources students are required to interview with us.
A one-day visit to Pitzer can be arranged for most weekdays from late September through April during regular class sessions, Monday through Thursday and Friday mornings (excluding fall, winter and spring breaks, campus holidays and final exams: please check our academic calendar).
To arrange a day visit, please schedule with us at least 14 days in advance so we can personalize your visit. Plan to arrive early in the day so you have the time to experience all that Pitzer has to offer.
A day visit includes most facets of an overnight stay. We offer day visits to high school seniors, transfer students, and New Resources students. If you are requesting a day visit, please do not schedule an interview or tour separately. You will have the option to select an interview and/or tour in the activities section of the ‘Request for a Day Visit form’. These activities will be scheduled by our Day Visit Coordinator.
To schedule a day visit (tours, information sessions, interviews and class visits), please submit our Request for a Day Visit form.
