Ultra-Fancy Contra Dance

March 24 @ 8:00 pm - 11:00 pm

Have you ever danced beneath a 20-ton pipe organ? Nor have we. But we’re fixing that! Get ready to contra in the fanciest shmanciest dance hall that the contra dance world has ever seen: the Mabel Shaw Bridges Hall of Music, designed by famed architect Myron Hunt in 1915. (Alas, we won’t be playing the pipe organ.)

Come make some new friends while learning an energetic, easy/accessible, and incredibly fun style of social folk dance! No prior experience is needed, and you don’t need to come with a partner. We’ll have live music from the High Strung Band (Belinda Thom, David Hostetler, and James Flaherty), lessons/calling from Ginger Alberti, and delicious snacks from Trader Joe’s. See you there!
