Welcome to the Pitzer Activities (PAct) homepage! We are a student-run programming board at Pitzer College that organizes a variety of on-campus events and off-campus adventures, including our weekly late night snack event. Pitzer Activities is chartered and funded directly by the Pitzer College Student Senate.

Our Mission
Acknowledging that significant education occurs outside the classroom, PAct aims to complement the educational objectives of Pitzer College through the promotion of holistic student development. We strive to offer a range of opportunities, activities, events, and services on a weekly basis to support students in becoming involved members of a pluralistic society.

Pitzer Activities is dedicated to providing support services to students, faculty, and staff who are interested in developing programming at Pitzer College. The organization maintains a special focus on creating alternative programming that offers “substance free” options for students who wish to be involved in a vibrant student culture.

Upcoming Events for Pitzer Activities:

Snackie Snack: A Pitzer tradition that has been around for decades, Snackie Snack is a weekly late night snack event that takes place each Tuesday at 10:00 pm in the GSC Multipurpose Room. Pitzer Activities works to bring a delicious new food each week, often allowing students to sample items from various local restaurants or community vendors. Sometimes savory, sometimes sweet…but you are always in for a delicious treat!

Funding Requests: Effective the 2016-17 academic year, PAct no longer accepts funding requests, including for One Time Events (OTE), due to structural changes implemented by the Student Senate. If you are looking to organize/host an event at Pitzer College, please contact the Pitzer Events Board to register your event and request funding. Want to join the PAct team?
Each semester, Pitzer Activities solicits applications from current students to fill a select number of open positions on the Programming Board. The application and interview process takes place in the first few weeks of each semester, and PAct strives to create a diverse board with members from different backgrounds and graduating classes. Meeting Information:
During the academic year, PAct holds weekly dinner meetings on Tuesday at 5:30pm in the McConnell Center Private Dining Room. This beginning of each meeting is open to all members of the Pitzer community.

Admission to any event sponsored by Pitzer Activities (PAct) will not be denied on the basis of race, sex, gender identity, nationality, religion, physical or mental disability, medical condition, sexual orientation, or any other characteristic. Our events are open to currently-enrolled Pitzer College students, and in some cases may be open to other members of the community. Please note that some PAct events have a limited capacity, particularly those taking place off-campus. If you require a special accommodation for an event, please contact us ahead of time.
