work in the Pitzer Mail Room, hang out with friends, and watch Netflix. I am an active member of the Black Student Union and hopefully will be an active member of LatinX Student Union as well next year.
I am at Pitzer because… of the close-knit community. I went to a small boarding school in New England with small class sizes. The small class sizes helped create safe spaces in which students could freely speak without judgement from others. During my time at boarding school, I became well acquainted with most of the teachers and students in the community. I therefore wanted a similar experience for college.

Outside of class I…
am a part of CCBDC (Claremont Colleges Ballroom Dance Company) and Men’s Blue and White a capella. In my free time, I enjoy listening to music, my favorite artists being The Chainsmokers, Zedd, Maroon 5, Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez, and Flume. I also enjoy eating, if I am not in class or my room, you will most likely find me at Jay’s or the Cafe at Mudd, the Motley at Scripps, the Hub at CMC, the Coop at Pomona, and the Shakedown, Grove House and the Pit-Stop at Pitzer. I love spending time in the village, especially in the coffee and tea shops, and I would be more than happy to help the class of 2021 navigate it. I like playing video games, hiking, exploring LA, doing Zumba, and going to a lot of the 5C parties on campus! I cannot wait to share my favorite parts of my freshman year with the future freshmen!
I am at Pitzer because… I fell in love with Pitzer and Claremont as a whole the first time I visited the campus when I was in ninth grade touring the 5C’s with my sister, when I saw the chickens and the garden I knew that Pitzer was the place for me. Pitzer is one of those campuses where everyone on campus is friendly and approachable. We all truly care about the world and we want to better it. The other colleges were another crucial factor in my choosing Pitzer because each college offers something special and unique that helps add to what makes Claremont great and dynamic place. By incorporating five different personalities on five connected campuses, you start to see the world through different lenses, and your ideas on topics will become more well rounded and as a result, your opinions will become more powerful.

I like playing pickup soccer, going on long runs, snowboarding, going to the beach, backpacking/hiking, and mountain biking.
I am at Pitzer because… Pitzer is a pretty amazing place. I’m not sure that I could have the same command over my academic path to pursue my interests at any other college! The willingness of other students to help each other makes our education more about learning rather than competition. Off campus, the study abroad programs offered here fit our interdisciplinary academic interests; for example, by combining economics and medicine in the Costa Rica Summer Health Program. Aside from academics, the culture on-campus is genuine. Everyone is loving, caring, intellectually interested and willing to have stimulating discussions. I love Pitzer because of the atmosphere that the people at Pitzer create for each other; we are here to attain a greater understanding of the world, support each other, and help others in our community improve themselves.
